Comcast soon will begin cracking down on heavy users of its Internet service in a move that critics fear could be a step toward restricting unlimited broadband access to download and upload files while surfing the Web.

The country’s largest cable company and second-largest Internet provider said Thursday that beginning Oct. 1, residential users who download and/or upload more than 250 GB of data a month will be notified and asked to curb their use. Customers who exceed the limit a second time in six months will face termination of their account.

The limit clearly defines a policy that Comcast has had in place for many years. In the past, excessive users faced similar restrictions, but the limits were never spelled out and actually fluctuated month to month depending on overall traffic. Comcast would not disclose the range of the old limits. to degrade service.”

What I will aim to do with in my little corner of the world wide web is to provide my views on the things to go on around me. That be actual things that impact my life, or just things I stumble upon that deserves mentioning.

About me: Male living in Scandinavia. I’m a vivid gamer and has been for the past 20+ years. First game I ever played was Rambo, First Blood on my C64. I am now what most would consider a casual MMO player, and have pretty much tried them all. Expect to see gaming related entries often.

I’m into gadgets, but have been able to cut down on that bad habit in the last couple of years. Still very much read everything I can about new exciting gizmos coming out, and you can expect to see a few entries on that subject now and then.

Professionally I work with IT Security. I have no programming skills, but have set a goal of looking into Visual Studio when I get the time. I pretty much keep up-to-date on all security related things that happen, and try to read as much as I can to better advise the people around me on how to conduct safe surfing practices without being paranoid. I will blog on security issues regularly.

Thats all for now. I will work on the design of my blog, but don’t expect magic.

Meet up with my friend and went for coffee as he wasn’t quite awake yet…to put it mildly. Swapped our stories from the past few months and off we went; Utrecht and our hotel as the destination.

Checked in and dropped off our luggage in the best manly matter.. Opening our bags, confirming it still looked like we had just thrown whatever was near when we packed into it; not far from the truth to be honest. Nodding satisfied at each other and then mutually agreeing, without uttering a word, that it was time to go get our first beer of the day…and some lunch to go with it.

Decided to watch my latest DVD with Armin Van Buuren from his last Armin Only show November 11th.

I soo wish I had been there. Absolutely amazing show with some fabulous performers!

I especially love the opening where he lets his younger brother take the stage alone and give him credit for his great skills. Thats brotherly love beyond anything I’ve ever seen.

Trance Energy is a trance party hosted by ID&T and it takes place in Utrecht, Holland.

4 stages this year with a lot of brilliant DJ sets from some of the best DJ’s in the world. I had hoped my personal favorite Armin Van Buuren would play again this year, but I guess the memory of last year (and all his concert DVDs) will have to do.

This is no doubt one of the more prominent trance venues of the year, and every trance fan should consider seeing it at least once!

Plane leaves at 7.15 tomorrow morning and whatever few items I need to bring is packed. Can’t wait to go now…….
